Thursday, August 1, 2019, 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Sashiko is a form of Japanese folk embroidery using the basic running stitch to create a patterned background. The geometric patterns include straight or curved lines of stitching arranged in a repeating pattern. The Japanese word Sashiko means "little stabs" and refers to the small stitches used in this form of needlework. Learn the techniques to create a coaster during class, and take home materials to make 3 more coasters at home. Class fee of $20 includes instruction and all materials for a set of 4 coasters.
